~ Mom's Pet Peeve ~

It’s Friday and that means time for another Mommy Reality and this week is #23.  In the last challenge Jen and Celeste wanted to know what we ate for breakfast.  This time around they are asking us for our pet peeves.  I had to put some extra thought into this one for there are so many things that happen around here that annoy me to no end.  For instance, leaving clothes in the dryer after they are done drying, not shutting the cupboard doors after each use, messing up my organized cupboards and pantry, NEVER replacing the roll of toilet paper once it has reached the end, and the list goes on and on.  After further thought I realized my biggest pet peeve was when my scissors went missing on me!

What's for Breakfast Mom?

Mommy Reality #22

So you want to know what I eat for breakfast...are you sure???  Well, I have never been a breakfast person so when I do eat breakfast it is usually ice cream with cereal sprinkled over it.  I know...HORRIBLE isn't it?  I, on occassion, let the girls eat the same thing.  I figure you need your dairy with your cereal so why not.  My Mom use to let my sister and I eat ice cream for breakfast with Rice Crispies sprinkled over the top!  YUMMY!

Mommy Reality Challenge #19 ~ Before Mommy Was A Mommy

It is Friday and we all know what that means...It is time for another Mommy Reality Challenge!

As you can obviously tell by my hair, I am an 80's child.  This picture was taken on January 14, 1988, on my 16th Birthday!

Well, I guess the cat's outta the bag now, so to speak, for those of you who did not know me back then I am a natural blonde.  Trust me as soon as I open my mouth to speak the blonde in me shines through and I completely ruin the facade!  After all, I was once told, "You are the smartest dumb person I have ever met!"  Yep, that pretty much sums it up right there!  Hahaha

You've got to love my spandex pants and shiny, metallic, silver AND polka dotted shirt with the matching scarf.  All I have to say about that is Oh My!

Mommy Reality Challenge #18

The "Drinking" Game

I asked my husband to run up to Fry's before work to grab my FAV drink, that I do not purchase often enough, just for this challenge.  When my husband saw me taking pictures of it he looked at me like I was insane, again.  He does not listen long enough to get the whole Mommy Reality Challenge...lol...but he is still amazing to me!

Mommy Reality Challenge #10 ~ Food Face Fotos #mommyreality

#mommyreality

When I saw the Mommy Reality Challenge #10 ~ Food Face Fotos I had the perfect picture pop into my mind.

I was sick in bed one afternoon when my 14 1/2 your old daughter Brooklynn comes into my room yelling, "Mommy!" I jumped up and turned over to see what was wrong and what I see is the above image in front of me. She proceeds to ask me if I liked her new mask. Still half asleep I was confused as to what was on her face. It took me a few minutes but I did finally realize it was a flour tortilla she had poked holes in. I quickly grabbed my cell phone and took that picture. Only my kid would do something so crazy silly like that.

Mommy Reality Challenge #8 ~ Mommy's Guilty Pleasures!

I have two different hiding places in my room. First is a top-secret stash of Baby Lips, Soft Lips, and EOS lip balms and I lie about it...who does that? When my teenage daughters ask to use them I say I am out and hand them the Dollar Store brand instead. I feel guilty just admitting to this first one...oh my!

I also have soda pop hidden in my room. I make them drink water and juices but I sneak away for my not even name brand but generic soda pop.

One last confession; when checking out at the grocery store I always sneak in a candy bar just for me so while they watch me load the groceries into the truck they never see me sneak bites of my Milky Way bar. That one I've been doing their whole lives and I literally laugh out loud because they have never noticed. They always ask why I think it is so funny to put groceries in the truck...which makes me laugh even harder!

I'm not that bad am I?
